Rosemary Njeri

Watt is a unit of power and it measures the amount of energy an item needs to function.

Joule per second is the unit of action or of angular momentum.

A watt is equivalent to one joule per second.

Formula to convert W to J⋅s.

We know that 1W is equal to 1J.s.

Therefore, to convert W to J.s, we multiply the W value by 1.

Example:

Convert the energy of a 60W bulb to J.s.

= 60 x 1

= 60 J.s
