**Formula to convert Watts to Megawatts.**

Since we have been told that a megawatt is equivalent to one million watts.

Therefore to convert W to MW, we divide the W value by 1,000,000.

Convert 500 million watts to megawatt.

Convert 1 watt to megawatts.

**Example 3:**

Convert 145 watts to megawatts.

**= 145 ÷ 1,000,000** ** **

**= 0.000145 MW.**

**Example 4:**

Convert 6100 W to megawatts.

**= 6100 ÷ 1,000,000** ** **
