How to Convert Newtons to Kilogram.

Newton(N) is the SI Unit of force and is defined as as that force necessary to provide a mass of one kilogram with an acceleration of one meter per second per second.

While a kilogram is the base unit of mass in the current metric system, having the unit symbol as kg.

Formula to convert N to kg.

To convert N to kg, we divide the N value by 9.8 , which is the acceleration experienced by and object due to the gravitational force of earth.

Mass in kg = Force in N ÷ 9.8

Example:

Convert 900 newtons to kilograms.

= 900 ÷ 9.8

= 91.8 kg.
