How to Calculate Body Fat.

Body fat consists of fat accumulation in adipose tissue, part of which protects internal organs in the chest and abdomen.

A basic way to measure body fat is by using a soft tape measure, like the kind you’d use for sewing, to record measurements of different parts of the body.

Measuring Body Fat Is Important for Determining Fitness.

Formula to calculate body fat.

For a lady, you should record a measurement of the circumference of your neck, natural waist, and hips and remember to measure the widest part of those parts.

For a man, measure the circumference of your neck and abdomen.

Another method to measure body fat is known as a skin-fold test. It is done using a tool called calipers to pinch different areas of your body and measure body fat.

Example:

Suppose you are a lady and your waist is 30, your hips are 44, and your neck is 13, what would be your circumference value.

 Calculate Body Fat.

Thus , your circumference value is 61. You can now use this to get your body fat percentage.
