We can define the speed of sound as the speed at which sound waves propagate through different materials.

Speed of sound varies in every medium;for instance, the speed of sound through air is different from the speed of sound through a brick wall.

Formula to calculate the speed of sound.

Example:

Calculate the speed of a sound wave whose 17.15 meters and has a frequency of 20 Hertz.

Calculate Speed of Sound.

Therefore, the speed of sound is 343 m/s.
